Your role

Within the Bioconjugation Chemistry team you will be responsible for the development of new innovative products in the area of cellular analysis. Your tasks span the entire range from basic research to application and product development.
  • You will participate in the development and establishment of new protein conjugates for cellular analysis applications, prepare your own project reports, present your results, and document your work.
  • You will lead junior members of the R&D Team toward product development goals and maintain responsibility for the quality and timeliness of their work.
  • In doing so, you will ensure that all processes in the chemical and analytical laboratory comply with laboratory guidelines and thus make a decisive contribution to the quality and safety of our laboratory and our products.
  • You will coordinate workflows within the team and with other groups in the R&D department and across the company.
  • You will help to develop a new team and skillset within R&D with a focus on microscopy reagents. Your contributions will influence the new team structure and you will build relationships and communicate with other departments as part of your daily tasks.
  • You will use your broad network to establish and expand cooperation projects with academic and industrial partners.
Your profile
  • You have successfully completed your master’s degree and have obtained significant relevant experience in an industrial setting, or you have completed your doctorate in the field of chemistry, or with a comparable scientific focus, and have already gained sound scientific experience as a postdoc or in an industrial environment.
  • You have experience in a core chemical discipline (analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, biochemistry, etc.)
  • You are confident in working at the interface between chemistry and biology and enjoy working in the lab as well as taking on project leadership.
  • You are an excellent communicator, and proficient with standard Microsoft software tools for the preparation and delivery of reports, both verbal and written.
  • A natural curiosity, a passion for leadership with a people-oriented work style and sense of multidisciplinary interaction describe you perfectly.
  • Very good written and spoken English skills complete your profile, German is a plus.
