Braun New Ventures is a Corporate Start-Up of B. Braun based in Freiburg, Germany, founded in 2020. With a young and fast-growing team, we are set up to support B. Braun’s digital transformation by developing solutions to automate medical procedures across all business areas. The goal is to augment caregivers’ eyes, hands and decision making with sensors, robotics and artificial intelligence. This will enable sharing of clinical experience, open up new treatment possibilities and result in better patient care.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Linux administration
- Creating Debian/Ubuntu packages for the development environment together with software engineers
- Setup and maintain our Linux developer laptops and assist people on problems
- Support in setting up Azure Infrastructure like virtual machines, VPN, and storage for company production usage
- DevOps
- Developing DevOps pipelines with Azure Pipelines
- Creating DevOps interfaces for automated testing and QA together with software engineers and test engineers to release high quality software for commercial products
- Creating well-structured and maintainable DevOps components with state-of-the-art approaches
- Working in a scrum team collaborating with other software developers as well as with software architects, system engineers, UX engineers, quality engineers and product owners
- Support in administrating the office network infrastructure
- Complying with medical software standards and have the responsibility of developing, integrating, and validating your own modules
- You are an experienced IT specialist (German Fachinformatiker) and want to move into DevOp Engineering
- Profound experience in administrating and setting up Debian-based operating systems for several years as well as network administration
- Experience in maintenance of production servers
- Several years of programming in scripting languages
- Experience with Ansible, Terraform or similar tools is a plus
- Embraced new technologies, different programming languages and their respective advantages. Technologies we currently use are Azure DevOps, Bash, Python, Docker, C++ and Linux.
- You can compensate the listed qualifications through alternative experiences as well.
- Highly motivated and eager to learn new technologies quickly
- You are a hands-on doer, an interdisciplinary networker and have a service attitude
- Having an innovation mindset with enthusiasm for high-tech medical products
- A good command of written and spoken English as a prerequisite for communication in our international team, German would be a plus
