About iwoca
iwoca is breaking down the barriers that stop Europe’s 20 million small businesses accessing finance. Traditional bank loans have slow application processes, inflexible terms and burdensome criteria. In contrast, we use cutting-edge technology to offer flexible access to credit within minutes.
Since 2012, we’ve lent over €3 billion to 65,000 businesses across Europe. Our customers include everything from cafés to online fashion boutiques, salons to solicitors. Along the way we have built a sophisticated technology platform, won numerous awards and grown a fun and vibrant team of 290 people from 35+ nationalities.
Who we’re looking for
In brief - you have at least 2 - 5 years work experience in enterprise sales, banking, fintech or consultancy (or similar), are passionate about sales and are keen to join a high-performing team in a growth company. This position can be based in Frankfurt or remotely in Germany.
The role
Your role is within a team that is core to our strategy and critical to our success.
Because we’re quite good at this, several banks across Germany chose us to provide their SME customers with finance - neatly embedded into their own offering often via electronic integrations into their systems. They include for example banks like Commerzbank (who are invested in us), Fyrst (Deutsche Bank’s digital SME bank) or Qonto to name a few.
There is a lot more we could and need to do to activate our bank partners, this is where you come in. Your mission will be to maximise the potential with these partners, and also to team up with new ones. If you are successful you will grow our customer base by 10x.
We will equip you with a deep understanding of iwoca, our business model, general commercial acumen, strategic and analytical thinking and we will give you the opportunity to further develop your sales skills so that you can work your magic to help us achieve this.
Here are some of the things you’ll do:
- You’ll put together a strategic plan on how we can offer our partners the best service and in return generate most volume with them
- You will come up with creative ways to engage with our existing partners, for example by working with their marketing team to promote our products to their customers, or by delivering webinars or by giving on-site presentations in person to activate their relationship managers and explain our product and its application possibilities
- You will develop a network with the partners’ relationship managers and meet with them regularly (in person or virtually)
- For all of this, you will build a network with iwocans across London (where we have our head office which you can also visit whenever you want) and Frankfurt
Requirements

- You’re able to get up to speed quickly, you’re street smart, you can swim on your own, and you have strong self-organisation and prioritisation skills
- You’re strong in selling, you don’t take no for an answer and you don’t let little setbacks throw you off track
- You’re a great networker with strong communication skills
- You are motivated and results-oriented and get excited from achieving and smashing targets
- You’re able to think in a structured and strategic way
- You enjoy the chaos of fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- You have a growth mindset, you can admit mistakes and learn from them
- You appreciate feedback and regularly look for ways to outdo yourself and your performance and are constructive in giving feedback yourself
- You are a fluent German speaker with a good level of written and spoken English
