For the B. Braun New Ventures Team in Freiburg we are searching for a Senior User Experience and Interface Designer (UX|UI) (f/m/d) in digital surgery.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • You create experiences and interfaces for innovative digital and physical surgical products - from early research to implementation to testings and inclusive quality assurance
  • You understand user needs, define jobs to be done, user flows and information architectures
  • You develop multi modal cross-device screen flows, interactive prototypes under the Human Centered Design aspect
  • You create implementation ready graphical user interfaces and web interfaces
  • You work close with the frontend developers to bring the interfaces to life
  • You work in a dynamic and agile team collaborating with other UX Researchers, Usability Engineers, as well as with developers, software architects, system engineers and product owners 
  • You maintain existing and new Design Systems standards that provides the foundation for a range of scalable applications
  • You offer mentorship and support to inquiring minds, helping them to grow and develop professionally
  • You are part of the B. Braun UX|UI Community with a range of Events, Experts, knowledge Base around the globe

Professional competencies

  • Passionate UX|UI Designer with several years of industry experience
  • You have the ability to think abstractly, strategically and analytically to solve complex, multi-factorial design problems
  • You are capable of conceptual, open-minded, creative and non-linear thinking, but at the same time high aptitude for process-oriented and structured progress
  • Hands-on experience with tools, such as Paper and Pen, Figma, Adobe CC and others that helps you to create, test, demonstrate and communicate ideas, concepts and solutions quickly and effectively
  • Proficient in Lean UX, Design Thinking and Agile Development such as SCRUM and SAFe
  • Nice-to-have would be UX-Writing, UX-Engineering and UX-Research
  • Working experience in the healthcare industry or in a comparable field would be a plus

  • You are a proactive, results-oriented and customer-centric personality with analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • You work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, encourage collaboration, also virtual one and mutual support 
  • You are self-motivated and you have a hands-on mentality 
  • You have a passion for data driven design and a desire to continuously learn and grow 
  • You stay productive and capable of acting in critical situations 
  • You communicate clearly and responsibly in German and English
