Senior Manager, Business Operations

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Business Operations with strong patient focus and a passion for driving results to launch Deciphera’s first oncology product once approved. This position will report to theGeneral Manager DACHand be located in the Munich office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic support to GM DACH
  • Support preparation of local and INTL business and financial reviews
  • Lead strategic projects
  • Prepare business cases
• Business Analytics

o Local contact for market intelligence; initiation of primary and secondary market research as needed

• • Analyse daily, weekly and monthly global sales and activity reports
  • Interface with Field Force, Distributor and selected customers for local data generation and review (e.g. KAM reports)
  • Support KAM team and Sales & Marketing Director in set up, review and follow-up on Key Account Management Plans
  • Support Sales & Marketing Director in CRM analytics
  • Closely collaborate with local, regional and global leads re: report optimization and customer profiling/analysis
  • Set-up of local stand-alone reports if not included in global/regional reporting package
• Local responsible for Customer Service
  • Primary interface to Supply Chain, distributor, and external wholesale responsible person
  • Set up and maintain the distribution pathway for product to patients via hospital and retail pharmacists in alignment with the International Supply Chain Manager through our distributor
  • Ensure inventory management and forecasting in alignment with Supply Chain organization, Sales & Marketing and GM
  • Keep oversight of order management in alignment with Sales & Marketing, GM and Supply Chain
  • Customer contact for product related questions (non-medical, non-PV)
  • Support handling of customer complaints and returns in alignment with the Wholesale responsible person

o Manage goodwill transactions between customers and Deciphera Germany (in alignment with GM, Sales & Marketing and Supply Chain)

• Local Quality Support
  • Ensure on a regular basis or on acute needs the essentials for product quality and safety as an interface between the external wholesale responsible person and Deciphera: In close alignment with GM, QA Head, Supply Chain/Distribution Director, LRPPV (local responsible person for pharmacovigilance, “Stufenplanbeauftragter”) and DIO („Informationsbeauftragter“) Germany
  • Support RP in local Quality Mgmt. System for Germany and performing Management Reviews
  • Provide support to RP during quality inspections and audits in close alignment with Medical, Legal, Regulatory and the external RP
  • Support RP in the case of local deviations, CAPA and changes
  • Assist RP with outsourced GDP activities and Quality Agreements

• University degree, MBA or PhD in science and/or economics preferred
• Over 5 years of relevant blended industry experience in biotech/pharma
• Must possess recent and significant experience in the responsibilities required for this job
• Previous strategic consulting experience advantageous
• Experience in development, implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems
• Experience in working in a regulated environment especially in GDP and to some extent in GMP would be preferable
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in German and English
• Strong strategic thinking skills and demonstrated business analytics, financial understanding and customer service acumen
• Excels in a fast-paced, results-driven, highly accountable environment where you can make a clear impact
• Experience and proven success working with cross-functional teams across geographies
• Ability to manage ambiguity, frequent change and senior level engagements; ability to confidently seek out help when needed
• Strong strategic, tactical and operational skills and ability and willingness to switch between strategic and operational level of working
• Strong learning agility and ability to engage in-depth across multiple project
• Insights in pharmacists ordering process, complaint management and commercial aspects of drug distribution is preferred
• Good slide writing and excel skills necessary
