Senior Hydrogen Project Manager (m/f/x)

Your Tasks

In our challenging projects, you will be deployed in a variety of ways according to your personal strengths. The main focus of your work will be on:

Project management:

You will lead project teams consisting of colleagues from your own and other Fichtner departments as well as subcontractors.

Client interface:

As the first point of contact for our clients, you will be the face of the project to the outside world and responsible for ensuring that the project runs smoothly.

Schedule management:

You will ensure that the project progresses on schedule and coordinate the project participants.

Budget responsibility:

You will budget the resources in the project and track the costs. If there are any deviations, you will proactively intervene to control the situation.

Engineering:

You will be responsible for the development of conceptual and detail engineering or for the coordination of these tasks.

Procurement:

For implementation of the plant, you will prepare the tender documents and assist with the contract award.

Coordination of project execution:

In the implementation phase, you will supervise the contractors together with the project team.

Mentor:

You will systematically develop junior team members and provide advice and support based on your experience.

Your Profile

  • Interest in a varied field of work with both conceptual elements and detailed technical planning
  • Good technical knowledge from having completed a university degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, industrial engineering or similar
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in implementing projects in the field of energy, infrastructure or plant engineering
  • Many years of experience in managing projects and leading teams
  • Sound methodological knowledge of tools for managing projects
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Motivated team player
  • Willingness to travel as part of projects on a short-term basis, with travel assignments accounting for <10-20% of your work
