Senior Flavourist - Your future position?

You will be part of a team of very experienced Flavourists and in a position to develop your expertise together with your colleagues inside and outside your team.

In your role, you will be the technical contact for our main Snacks customer in Germany. You will contribute to the growth by creating flavours and being a technical partner. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be part of our Flavour Creation and Application Team, based in Germany, Dortmund.

In this exciting job you will:

  • Release your creativity and prepare flavour samples as requested for customer briefs, applications needs, technology performance assessment, QC standards, physical testing. Create new flavours or modify existing flavours to meet customer requirements, internal testing needs, or new technology development at an expert level for selected flavour types. Coordinate the evaluation of materials developed internally or from external sources and assess potential for flavour creation.
  • Craft relationship with the biggest customers and maintain relationships with a broad number of complex partners to gain their trust and respect. Execute daily brief-related tasks and manage assigned projects and provide flavours which meet all defined customer needs and manufacturing practices, sample scale-up, production requirements, regulatory compliance, and leading customer visits for flavor creation and product presentations at the customer.
  • Be a technical expert to resolve flavour production issues, customer complaints and complete ownership of created flavours. Coach flavour assistants and flavourists.

Your professional profile includes:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Flavourist after completion of Givaudan Flavourist Training program or accepted industry equivalent
  • Flavour Creation experience in the Snacks or Savoury segment
  • Demonstrate expert-level tasting skills with the ability to understand how to adjust a flavour formulation in the direction needed for flavour modifications
  • Expert-level interaction with customers, discuss flavour creation needs and provide direction to help solve flavour performance issues in their applications
  • Fluency in English is required, any level of German is a plus
