Your Role

  • As a senior controller, you will discuss the monthly business performance with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • You will actively manage the cost controlling based on your reports, analysis, and comments on plan and forecast developments.
  • You will be involved in cost planning/budgeting and understanding the different business cases to monitor the accurate process of cost accounting in our cost center system end-to-end.
  • You will prepare month-end and year-end closes.
  • You will be responsible for all direct and inter-company costs and charges, reasonable accruing systems, and support by evaluating cost savings.
  • You will indicate optimizations, and develop existing and new controlling tools and systems as a part of overall company growth.
  • You will work on internal and external projects.
  • You will be an active part of the finance team, and will also provide support in accounting based on HGB/IFRS standards in Datev.

Your Profile

  • You have successfully completed a business degree with a focus on finance & controlling.
  • You have 3+ years of experience in controlling, ideally in a media company.
  • You are familiar with Datev, and other planning and BI tools.
  • You have advanced knowledge of Excel and data analysis.
  • Your working style is characterised by strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a high degree of initiative.
  • You have strong communication skills in English and working in an international environment is no problem for you.
