Sales > Region NCE > Team 1, Server & Data
The Plant Engineering team is responsible for Server & Data, Grid & Control, Network, Cyber Security & Multibrand installations and maintenance. Our team provide support at the sales phase, defining requirements with our Project Management & Planning function. Further, the Plant Engineering team is responsible for the installations of the hardware and software of power plants. We are providing for the lifetime of the power plants maintenance, replacement, and upgrades. Our subject matter experts ensure continuous development of the components and provide technical and engineering support to the sales, construction and service regions. Due to all these activities, we are in close contact with R&D, group functions, regional organizations, authorities and end-users. With more than 150 engineers, we are the largest engineering function in the sales business unit of Vestas Northern and Central Europe.
Responsibilities
As SCADA Team Lead of Server & Data function you will be supervising a group of SCADA engineers/technicians and your Team will be spread around northern central Europe with main locations in Germany and Denmark.
- Being a key part of the Plant Engineering management team in NCE and support guiding SBU improvement projects.
- Convert strategy into action-oriented milestones for each employee and ensure that all team members understand how their work relate to business goals.
- Provide effective leadership that achieves an aligned, engaged, and motivated team.
- Establish and maintain good and productive relationships with the customer and internal partners.
- Define improvement in existing products and services to better meet customer needs.
- Responsible for all employment matters including hiring, employee relations, performance management, performance appraisals, etc.
- Other aspects include ensure focus on safety
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering and experience in similar position.
- Proven leadership skills and experience with direct team management.
- Good knowledge and experience within Server & Data functions of Plant Engineering (SCADA).
- Experience in wind energy industry is ideal.
- Good communication skills in English, both verbally and written. Danish is good to have.
- Able to set clear goals and follow up, motivate, and develop employees.
- Customer oriented and can understand the business value seen from a service and customer perspective.
- Skills in relationship building, both internal and external.
- Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrating a sense of urgency in meeting commitments

- This role can be based in Videbæk, Denmark or Hussum, Hamburg, Berlin, Germany.
- Some travel activity should be expected (maximum 30 days annually)
