ProjectDescription

RCA is looking for an IT solution for their “Anschlussbahn” business (“campus railway”), replacing existing paper and phone work with limited IT support
  • Platform needs to support multiple clients, pilot will be with OMV refinery in Schwechat/ AT
  • Several parts of a solution:
  • DXC Rail Cargo Mgmt Solution (DXC RCMS) based on existing solution from DXC competence center in Dresden (DXC IP).
  • 2nd/3rd Level Application Support / Operation
  • Infrastructure Operation (Optional)

Responsibilities

    o Responsible for defining the overall structure of a program or system
    o It’s essential to understand all aspects of each system, from both a business and technical point of view. This means having a full working knowledge of technologies such as UNIX, Oracle, SQL Server and TCP/IP for example, as well as knowledge of one or more programming languages
    o Liaising with people from different backgrounds, from management to designers and programmers in the IT department, to ensure the project meets the needs of the organisation and the people who’ll be using it

Skills

Must have

    o Computer science related degree/major and/or work experience in computer science
    o Good knowledge of Java development
    o Good knowledge of frameworks/development environments: VAADIN, Eclipse, JUnit & Jenkins, desirable.
    o Good knowledge of object and data modeling
