About the Role
We are looking for a Quantitative Risk Analyst to join our growing Risk team, based in Berlin. This role will support the development of methodology and application for Trailstone’s Risk Management Group. This person will be responsible for multiple different analyses and projects, including methods development and implementation, model Tand parameter review.
This will be a full-time role, owning the following responsibilities:
- Act as a global quantitative analyst for the risk management / finance group and support initiatives related to risk analytic methods and systems.
- Support model review to assure quantitative models, associated parameters and processes have been properly reviewed and signed-off for usage.
- Code the automation/building and implementation of processes and methods related to risk analytic methods and measurement.
- Perform timely and updated back-testing of enterprise risk metrics
- Research quantitative methods for opportunities to increase capabilities of Trailstone risk analytics
- Actively participate in Trailstone global risk management and provide timely updates
- Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed
About You
This person will have a strong working knowledge of risk analytics and data systems, with the ability to work on-site in our Berlin office 3-days per week. In addition, we are looking for somebody with the following:
Essential Requirements:
- An academic background in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related technical field, to support experiences.
- Experienced with Python, Matlab and SQL, with a passion for clean code.
- Commodity trading, portfolio management and/or risk management experience.
- Deep knowledge of risk analytics and methods with a track record of implementation of risk metrics (e.g., VaR, EaR, Future Potential Exposure, scenario / stress analysis).
- Experience in price simulation, volatility, correlation analysis and other multivariate methods.
- Valuation and review of structured / complex transactions.
- Ability to present analytic materials to broad audience.
