We develop #HeyMercedes at the R&D (Research & Development) headquarters in Sindelfingen together with our hubs in Silicon Valley, Berlin and Beijing. In doing so, we design probably the most direct, emotional interface between our customers and the Mercedes-Benz brand.
In the Speech Software Module team, we take to the End-to-End responsibility of the in-car software for the #HeyMercedes voice assistant. This begins with evaluating new features and system requirements, designing a technical specification together with our interface-teams, thereafter implementing the features with our partners or in-house, and eventually conduct tests across all supported languages to make the software ready for customers worldwide.
As a member of the team and in your role as Product Owner for Speech Software Development at #HeyMercedes, you will collaborate with other experienced and passionate #HeyMercedes Domain Product Owners, software developers, testing responsibles, and UI/UX designers within the #HeyMercedes community located worldwide to develop the next generation of the #HeyMercedes voice assistant.
You will learn a variety of cutting-edge technologies and development processes around voice assistants and develop comprehensive skills such as leadership, communication, software design and effective project management.



As Product Owner for Speech Software Development at #HeyMercedes you will be responsible for:
  • Deriving the feature-scope in terms of requirements from the function clusters for the voice assistant, feeding them into our agile development approach, monitoring the implementation and initiate measures for the timely delivery of the software
  • Coordinating the implementation scope with internal and external partners and stakeholders with the higher-level project plans to ensure a holistic user experiences in the vehicle
  • Integration of the developed software module into the overall system and ensuring quality checks with measurable test validation
  • Technical coordination of the software implementation with the respective development partners (internal and external)
  • Leading a diverse, dedicated and passionate scrum team (internal and/or external)
  • Safeguard highest quality standards and steer testing activities jointly with the team

Qualifikationen

What you bring to the table:

  • Completed studies in computer science, computer linguistics, information/communication technology, software development
  • Several years of experience as project lead in the field of customer-facing software with strong dev ops background
  • Experience in the field of Speech Applications/Voice Assistants/Natural Language Processing
  • Know-how and experience in developing software products in a Scrum based agile ecosystem
  • Fluent in English and German
