Master Thesis Battery remanufacturig for sustainable e-mobility (f/m/d)

The global need to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and the growing need for individual and sustainable mobility are just a few examples that lead to challenges for the automotive industry. Due to these changes, automotive OEMs and tier-one supplier will face a bigger transformation from commonly used combustion engine to other technologies in future to ensure their businesses. One approach to handle these hurdles is to reduce the emissions of the used powertrains by using e-mobility. What are essential technical capabilities and related business models to embed more sustainability in the e-mobility? How to design an effective circular economy for batteries and their remanufacturing after first life usage? How to manage the reverse supply chain, the remanufacturing processes and the business topics around e-mobility?

What´s your future business?

• You will analyze and evaluate the market of battery remanufacturing for Passenger Cars (PC), Commercial Vehicles (CV) and related services
• You will assess trends and drivers in e-mobility, e.g., battery technology, circular economy, sustainable sourcing, repurposing/remanufacturing of products and service development.
• You will join a consulting team working on offering and topic development for industrial manufacturing, digital transformation and related business models
• You will acquire exciting insights into an international consultancy
• You will be working in an inventive team with diverse professional and academic backgrounds in a friendly, open, and cooperative working atmosphere
• You will be supported and promoted in your profession and personal growth by senior leadership and young professionals

Who are you?

• Above-average performance in a business-related degree programme, e.g., business administration, supply chain/operations management, industrial engineering, information management, or engineering
• Desire to combine and drive e-mobility and battery development, remanufacturing and mobility services
• Analytical thinking, client focus and pleasure when working in an international team
• Very good communication and presentation skills in German and English
