Jeppesen, A Boeing Company is looking for a Manager Data Operations (M,F,D)to be based inNeu-Isenburg, Germany.

Manager Data Operations (M,F,D) manages employees performing activities across Intelligence analysis disciplines including; geospatial plans, designs, development and analysis; imagery intelligence reporting and analysis; linguistic review, analysis and reporting. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing the team of aviation and navigation professionals in the Neu-Isenburg office
  • Coordinating the team’s priorities and workload with other international offices
  • Ensuring consistent provision of global navigation information and services within Jeppesen’s value chain
  • Achieving operational results which meet or exceed customer expectations while improving quality and overall operational performance
  • Ensuring continued development, recognition and motivation of the Global Data Management (GDM) staff
  • Effective and proactive communication with peers, customers, staff and suppliers regarding vision, strategy, operational and cultural expectations and operational performance
  • Defining departmental tactical execution plan; collaborative contribution to the management of the GDM operational budget; ensuring consistent tactical execution and safety
  • Managing subordinate staff, including duties such as: recruitment, training, performance and compensation management, motivation, delegation and results monitoring.
  • Continually evaluate and learn new tools, processes or approaches to further improve existing methodologies.
  • Develop and implement change management plans
  • Establish strong, effective and collaborative partnerships with key business area leaders, project managers and subject matter experts to identify specific business opportunities or to address business needs or problems and help build effective solutions
  • Research, analyze, and synthesize significant amounts of information to quantify business opportunities and issues to develop strategy and recommendations
  • Identify, advice and deliver on solutions to complex problems, requiring a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.
  • Develop implementation plans and partner with the business to ensure successful implementation

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Fluent English.
  • Solid communication/partnership/collaboration/ skills/facilitation skills.
  • Fundamental understanding of various research techniques and data analytics, digital literacy.
  • Proven ability to deliver business results by driving operational change.
  • Skilled in advising and influencing managers or non-management employees to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.

Preferred Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Previous experience in leading a team will be an asset.
  • Ability to cooperate with internal partners in the multicultural and global environment .
  • Knowledge of established policies and procedures.
  • Passion for enabling highly effective management and leadership processes and driving organizational change.
  • Proactively identify and advocate for areas of opportunity and implement solutions.
  • Ability to assess risk and operational findings – turning data into actions.
  • Ability to craft simple and effective business communications (PowerPoint) to build the case change and rationale for recommendations in order to gain management support throughout project
  • Ability to implement and drive change, including demonstrated experience and knowledge of change management principles..
  • Comfortable asking tough questions – challenging mid-level to senior management throughout the transformation process.
  • Highly self-motivated – will go the extra mile to get the job done right.

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Germany. Candidates must have current legal authorization to work immediately in Germany. This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
