About the Position:
In the Sustainment Operations Division, Logistics Automation Branch (LAB), serve as the 7th Army Subject Matter Expert on Property Book(PB)/Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-ARMY) supporting all activities within the theater. Responsible for field level life cycle management of GCSS-ARMY within 7th Army as well as providing OCP reach back support.
Responsibilities
- Performs analysis and evaluation of GCSS-ARMY system software change packages functions and determines problem areas through operational troubleshooting.
- Provides technical and functional support to the Sustainment Automation Support Management Office (SASMO) representatives and systems user sin the 7th Army.
- As action officer, interprets/analyzes and evaluates changes in regulations, directives, or proposed 7th Army policy to assess impact as to the level and method of systems support required.
- Monitor Unit Movements and exercises and drafts the operational portion of Operations orders (OPORDS), and messages.

- Key cont’d - The incumbent must be exempted from recall to active duty and will receive training to ensure mission accomplishment of sustaining base operations during mobilization.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Analyzing peripheral programs and equipment to ensure compatibility with core supply systems such as Tactical Enterprise Logistic Systems (TELS) and Logistics Information Systems (LIS); (2) Managing and maintaining sophisticated data automation and property book systems; AND (3) Determining problem areas through operational troubleshooting. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only.
- Pay retention may be offered to selected applicants for positions at overseas locations. Pay retention will not be offered as an incentive for employees moving between overseas positions.
- Selectees may receive certain foreign area benefits such as: Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) or government quarters, home leave, etc. Selectees will have their eligibility for foreign area benefits determined at the time of hire in accordance with Department of State Standardized Regulation (DSSR) and
