Great Lakes Insurance SE (GLISE) offers market access, primary insurance operations and expertise as the specialty insurance solution provider for the Munich Re Group. By running primary insurance business models, GLISE brings the Group closer to the end customer. The LSR Account Handler will initiate and control the efficient and compliant flow of insurance business handled by GLISE for Munich Re business units, act as the central liaison for Munich Re business units on all insurance matters, and thereby promote GLISE as competent partners to develop primary insurance business as well as enhance its service quality and operational excellence.
  • Ensuring that insurances are written in accordance with GLISE licences and that all legal and regulatory aspects are handled correctly
  • Facilitating the completion of contracts of insurance; signing off on slips, endorsements and wordings; ensuring that documentation meets GLISE and Munich Re Underwriters’ requirements and terms
  • Providing Munich Re business units with outstanding levels of service by adopting a positive and proactive approach whilst ensuring that all internal process requirements are met
  • Continual liaison with the Munich Re business units in order to enhance relationships, identify business needs, and make proposals as to how GLISE can assist in meeting these needs

  • University degree, professional insurance qualification or other relevant experience
  • Good experience of the insurance negotiation and placement process
  • Ability to precisely and accurately handle and control work flow
  • Ability to understand the broader business issues, act on opportunities, and solve problems using initiative and working in a team
  • Client facing and liaison skills as well as relationship-building skills; team player
  • Concern for quality and accuracy
  • Good analytical skills and the ability to apply knowledge and improve effectiveness
  • Result-oriented and ability to act on own initiative
  • Competence in German and English; competence in another European language desirable
