Key Account Director (m/w/d)

Ihre Aufgaben:

  • Development of acquisition strategies for the corresponding customers, as well as plan, prepare and implement acquisition measures for a specific market sector
  • Superordinate management and coordination of the acquisition teams for (global) acquisitions, customer requests for technical changes (ECR) and product cost optimization (PCO)
  • Ensures successful execution of all activities in regards to customers within the customer teams, production center and central departments of the BMTS group as well as monitoring of the entire process and on-time delivery to customers
  • Development of the short-, middle- and long-term customer planning regarding sales volume, turnover and profit. Controlling goal performance and taking counter-measures in case of planning variances. Developing and maintaining long lasting and trusting relationships with all customer employees to stabilize customer relations and build up efficient means of communication
  • Leading program managers and sales staff professionally and disciplinary, taking suitability and qualifications into account, develop and set goals, check and discuss work results - Includes staff in planning, decision-making, facilitating and process improvement; Making self available to staff and provides regular performance feedback; Developing subordinates’ skills and encouraging growth
  • Planning and driving team to achieve project goals in relation to capacity, cost, deadlines and profitability. Maintaining a profit goal as aligned with global business division

Ihr Profil:

  • Education: Diploma/Master/Bachelor in engineering or economics
  • Experience: Several years of professional experience in the automotive industry (7+ years), as well as several years of professional experience in sales and/or project management (10+ years), experience in powertrain portfolio
  • Know-how: confident mastery of tasks in technical sales (project management with international OEMs) and in commercial sales (pricing), knowledge of contract law
  • Working method: Result-oriented, conceptual and analytical thinking, strong delegation skills, and ability to empower others. Ability to think problems through, foresee potential roadblocks, and develop a strategy to overcome them. Must be forward thinking and open-minded to all possible opportunities.
  • Personality: Leadership, self-confidence, communication and assertiveness; high level of self-motivation and personal responsibility
  • Languages: Very good written and spoken German and English skills, additional foreign languages desirable
