We are looking for a German-speaking Junior Marketing Executive to join our fantastic Yacht Sales team to lead the marketing efforts for our German market.

Travelopia’s Yacht division manages the world’s leading sailing, power yacht and crewed yacht charter business with over 800 yachts operating in over 25 destinations in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Europe, Asia and the Pacific. We operate the leading charter vacation brands The Moorings and Sunsailand we are the exclusive dealer of new Leopard Catamarans.

The Yacht & Boat Sales activity at Travelopia includes the sale of new Charter Yachts in the Moorings Ownership Programs (www.mooringsyachtownership.com ), Sunsail Ownership Programs www.sunsailyachtownership.com), new ‘Leopard Catamarans’ (www.leopardcatamarans.com) used boats at the end of the charter program (www.mooringsbrokerage.com, www.sunsailbrokerage.com), and pre-owned Leopard catamarans (www.leopardbrokerage.com) to private buyers.

As the Junior Marketing Executive, you will be reporting to the European Yacht Sales Marketing Manager and will be responsible for leading online and offline marketing initiatives for the Yacht Sales department with a primary focus on the German market and surrounding German-speaking markets. This hands-on role requires day-to-day project execution including, but not limited to, online advertising, print advertising, events, press editorial, sales promotions, and partnerships.

What You Will Be Doing

Offline Marketing
  • Create print advertisements in source market publications and press relationships
  • Write copy in German and provide translations for all Yacht Sales marketing materials including brochures for all yacht sales activities
  • Develop flyers, spec sheets, sales sheets, and all offline marketing collateral
Digital Marketing
  • Create and send email blasts to internal and external databases according to our strategy planner
  • Learn HubSpot CRM to pull mailing lists and mass emailing
  • Managing PPC campaigns with our German agency
  • Managing promotional campaigns on Facebook
  • Assist with ensuring that search engine optimization, SEO, is achieved through management of keywords and link building.
  • Participate in making the content of the websites fresh & dynamic across all websites
Boat Shows And Events
  • You will be asked to prepare and attend Düsseldorf boat show
  • Work with marketing departments to determine booth layouts, graphics, and structures
  • Book booth space, registration badges, housing, etc
  • Ensure any aesthetic or mechanical issues are tended to before the show
  • Contract outside vendors for exhibit construction (tents, displays, electricity, carpet, etc)
  • Coordinate and assist to ensure that boat show booths are set up and dismantled correctly
What We Are Looking For

To be successful in this role you will have a genuine interest in sailing and powerboats, you will be a native German speaker and be fluent in English. This is a junior Marketing position therefore the ideal candidate will be early into their marketing career, you do not need to have years of Marketing experience behind you, but instead a drive to learn and progress.

Experience or knowledge of key marketing practices both online and offline, a keen eye for detail, and a proficiency in IT tools such as MS Office, Adobe Photoshop & InDesign, HubSpot would all be beneficial. The right person for this role would be enthusiastic, always willing to learn and be an excellent, positive communicator.

This role requires regular travel to Nice, France (5-6 times per year) so that you can meet with the team and your line manager and assist with boat shows.
