For our office in Hamburg we are looking for an

Investment Associate, Portfolio (f/m/d)

As Investment Associate, you will play a vital role in our mission to revolutionise the renewable energy industry.

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of analysts to meet department and company-wide goals
  • Spearhead team initiatives with a can-do mindset by managing timelines and priorities of deliverables and continuous quality improvements
  • Foster excellence by creating comprehensive best practice materials and providing on-the-job training to team members in financial reporting.
  • Provide an overview of the portfolio funding (both equity and debt), KPIs and visibility requirements to secure alignment and consistent information
  • Oversee and review valuation models, prepare investment memoranda for the Investment Committee
  • Design, build and maintain sophisticated financial models to inform strategic decision-making
  • Conduct scenario analysis and forecasting to assess potential outcomes and drive strategic planning efforts
  • Prepare comprehensive financial documentation, reports and presentations for stakeholders, summarising key findings and recommendations
  • Monitor investment portfolios and recommend adjustments to achieve financial goals
  • Evaluate implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency

Your qualifications:

  • Professional experience within Corporate Finance, preferably with a leading investment firm, consultancy or bank (5-7 years desired experience)
  • Degree or Masters in business, finance or investment related area
  • Expertise in financial plaining planning, budgeting, and CF liquidity planning
  • In-depth knowledge of best practices in financial modelling
  • Experience in leading or actively participating in contract or SPA negotiations
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel and large-scale data processing and reporting tools such as Power BI, SQL, etc.
  • Successfully implemented process improvement and optimizations across various fields such as finance, procurement, operations, etc.
  • Qualifications such as CFA, CMA, ACCA, etc. are considered a plus
  • Fluency in English, an additional European language is highly desirable
