Then join our Legal & IP team as “Intellectual Property Manager” and support us on site in Leipzig.

c-LEcta, part of Kerry Group, is a leading developer and supplier of biotechnological products for regulated markets like food and pharma and are currently looking for a talented candidate (f/m/d) to support its Legal/IP team in protecting intellectual property of the Group. You will work closely with scientific, business and legal functions of c-LEcta and Kerry Group.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor R&D development activities for identifying inventions and developing patent options
  • Conducting patentability and freedom–to–operate evaluations
  • Searching, analyzing, and evaluating information from literature and scientific communication with respect to IP matters
  • Maintenance, development and management of c‑LEcta’s patent portfolio
  • Support of Kerry Group on innovation matters
  • Drafting patent applications and responses to office actions during patent prosecution in close collaboration with external patent attorneys and IP colleagues
  • Communication with external patent attorneys, IP consultants and company inventors

Your Skills

  • Academic Degree (at least Bachelor, Master or PhD preferred) in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, (Molecular) Biology, Chemistry, or comparable education and experience
  • Basic knowledge in protection or commercialization of IP. Experience in managing and defending patent matters in house or an IP firm is a plus
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information
  • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team and to meet tight timelines
  • Very good English and ideally German in writing and language
