An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Supply Chain to join our Lantmännen Unibake team in Bremen, Germany, responsible for all the business activities in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
This is what you will do
You lead and manage the Supply Chain Department and secure local S&OP process, demand/supply planning, logistic and warehouse according to the business strategy and to global Unibake standards.
Primary areas of responsibility
The Head of Supply Chain is a member of the management team and will have the following areas of responsibility:
- Overall responsibility with your team for the management of the S&OP process, demand planning, supply planning, logistics, warehouse and customer service;
- Act as the Supply Chain Process Business Partner and ensure efficient collaboration, with peers and stakeholders, across functions on global and local level;
- Ensure local Supply Chain and business plans, drive business excellence and optimize Supply Chain operations across service, cost and competitiveness, in alignment with global Supply Chain Strategy and plans as well as commercial and operation plans;
- Lead, guide and direct your Supply Chain team and evaluate the work of direct reports;
- Participate in relevant global forums for alignment of business plans and activities – take active part in an ongoing knowledge sharing to increase competences and collaboration in Unibake’ Global Supply Chain community;
- Liaise and coordinate with relevant stakeholders with respect to all S&OP related topics before changes to sourcing decisions are made;
- Contribute to and support the global S&OP process through appropriate resource allocation, provide inputs, escalate risks related to service or cost, facts for scenario assessments and implementation of intercompany transfers according to the defined stage gate model;
- Ensure continuous savings initiatives and inventory optimization supported by LogEx in close collaboration with Global Supply Chain and local management team;
- Guard and ensure compliance and standardization with global standards, policies and governance requirements;
- Engage and empower all employees and managers to take responsibility for a safe, fun, and efficient workplace.
Skills & Requirements
This is what you need to succeed
- Master’s degree or the equivalent within the relevant field;
- Proven work experience from a senior position within supply chain, idealite experience with Navision and a preference in adjusting processes by optimizing IT
- Experience from working in international/global company with different cultures;
- Hands-on experience with supply chain and demand planning;
- Professional command of German and English is mandatory.
