Tasks


Symrise’s Flavor & Nutrition Segment is recruiting for a qualified Global Supply Chain Analyst to ensure the systematic support of strategic and tactical decision making through data-driven insights, working closely with key stakeholders in Global and Regional Supply Chain Management, BU and Category Leadership, Finance & Controlling, and other internal functions and external partners.

In this cross-divisional position, you will have the chance to apply your demonstrated passion for data and its links to supply chain processes in the design, implementation and further development of state-of-the-art data analytics solutions in the global supply chain environment. This includes the alignment of global, regional and local reporting of performance figures across all Flavor & Nutrition production sites.

Furthermore, you will be accountable for setting the performance metrics, reporting, monitoring and analyzing actual performance against set targets as well as coordinating the Capex and Opex budget planning processes within the Supply Chain organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create processes and methods to gather supply chain data and perform regular analysis and reporting to strengthen supply chain transparency
  • Track KPIs and report on supply chain’s performance, develop and implement dashboards and evolve supply chain metrics
  • Analyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvements
  • Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects (e.g. warehouse-slotting, route planning) and contribute to international or cross-functional projects by providing required data analysis, e.g. through scenario simulations
  • Develop requirements and standards (e.g. packaging, procurement, delivery)
  • Oversee inventory procedures
  • Foster trusting relationships with business partners
  • Collaborate with IT professionals to implement effective systems

Qualifications
  • University Degree in Logistics, Business Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics or another relevant discipline
  • At least 5 years of experience as Supply Chain Analyst or in a similar role
  • Documented experience in data mining, analysis, and reporting
  • Familiarity with supply chain processes (e.g. inventory planning, warehouse management, scorecards, Opex Trackers, etc.)
  • Advanced working knowledge of standard tools for data analysis and documentation, BI and ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Strategy) and relational databases
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to work under time pressure
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and partner with internal and external, multifunctional teams
  • Autonomous and well-structured, result-driven working style
  • Innovative problem-solving capabilities with special attention to accuracy and detail
  • Analytical mindset with demonstrated business acumen
  • Fluency in in English (oral and written)

Preferred knowledge and experience:

  • Knowledge in data analysis tools analytics and BI Platforms (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)
  • Knowledge in programming languages (e.g. Python)
  • Additional language skills in German
