Global Head (f/m/d) Benefits and Pension to develop Siemens Healthineers’s employee Benefits strategy and policies to attract, retain and motivate employees, aligned to Healthineers business, HR and total reward strategies, and corporate guardrails.


Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You will develop and implement the global benefits & pension strategy for the Company aligned to Healthineers business, HR and reward strategies, and external best market practice
  • You will lead the design and oversee the implementation of the Healthineers global and local benefit portfolio to create an attractive value proposition for the employees, including, but not limited to flexible benefits, global risk arrangements and employee health & wellbeing programs
  • You are responsible for managing and overseeing the post-employment benefits (pensions) portfolio, incl. steering and preparing the Global Benefits & Pension Board, working in in close alignment and partnership with Treasury and Accounting. Includes steering of relevant service providers (e.g. actuary, consultants) and corporate risk management
  • You are responsible for Healthineers insurable employee portfolio, incl. steering annual renewals, and leverage of financing instruments (e.g. employee benefits captive and pooling). Includes further development of the global insurance strategy for benefits design, financing and brokerage
  • You will lead and coordinate market benchmarking exercises, in close collaboration with broader reward team
  • You will manage and maintain the global employee benefit database of all current major benefit practices in Healthineers, and introduce efficient update process
  • You will enhance global health & wellbeing portfolio, incl. functionally leading new initiatives and drive efficiency of employee health plan spend through optimized design focused on prevention and precaution
  • You will support total rewards communication strategy connected to benefits and broader HR programs
  • You will lead the digitalization strategy for benefits (jointly with IT), and contribute to broader HR IT system initiatives (e.g. Workday implementation)
  • You will engage in strong collaboration with business leaders to provide relevant, flexible and attractive benefits
  • You will support company M&A projects, incl. due diligence projects (focus on pensions), acquisitions, integrations, stand-alones or divestures in the different phases, and steer and coordinate country activities
  • You will manage team of employee benefits experts responsible for providing the local expertise on the design of benefits in the country / region, in line with the corporate guardrails and local legislations
  • You are responsible to ensure compliance with applicable country, state /provincial and local regulations. Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have successfully completed a degree in Human Resources, Economics, Business & Administration, law or similar subject. Ideally you hold an actuarial qualification or equivalent
  • You have long years of experience in global benefits in a global and complex organization, preferable in similar industry
  • You have long years of professional experience in a leading global benefits role, including team management
  • You have several years of experience of designing reward and benefits strategies and solutions including retirement / pensions in line with market best practices and local regulations
  • You preferably have a WorldatWork Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) certification
  • You have tactical expertise and knowledge of benefits systems, processes and tools gained through a career of increasing responsibility in benefits combined with strategic expertise and knowledge of benefits governance, plan design, laws and regulations, related financials, legal, regulatory, and fiduciary requirements, benefit program administration, global risk pooling and enrollment processes
  • You ideally have experience conducting benefits due diligence and integration for M&A
  • You have demonstrated experience managing a substantial benefit plan budget

  • You have fluent command of the English language and excellent communication skills. German language skills are a plus
  • You show strong customer orientation and are result-driven; your cultural sensitivity and excellent leadership skills are distinct, and you stand for a clear value and strategic-innovative orientation
  • You have particularly good analytical and communication skills, are strongly goal-oriented and can be relied on to deliver
  • You are a team player and find challenges highly motivating
  • You have the ability to recruit, train, develop, organize & motivate a highly qualified & effective team
  • You have a strong understanding of how digital transformation needs to take shape in our company and live this in your day-to-day work environment
  • Through your openness to new developments and insights, you identify new opportunities and incorporate them into your concepts
  • You achieve measurable success through your cost-conscious and pragmatic approach
