Finance Manager / Controller

To strengthen our dynamic team in Bensheim (D), Saarbücken (D) or Betting (F), we are looking for an enthusiastic numbers person to join our team full-time as soon as possible. In this role, you will support and be responsible for all finance-related matters and will be able to contribute your expertise in an exciting environment. In addition to the varied day-to-day business, you can expect a number of projects, always in the interface between finance and the adjacent operational areas. You will report directly to the management.

Your tasks

  • Financial support of several business units and countries as well as the corresponding support in operative and strategic planning and decisions
  • Further development of management reports and controlling tools
  • Coordination and control of budget planning, detailed forecasts and prognoses as well as the preparation and coordination of monthly and annual financial statements in management reporting
  • Act as the main gatekeeper to ensure that the assets of the Group are safeguarded
  • Ensure timely submission of monthly and annual financial reports to the Headquarters
  • Ensure timely submission of monthly and annual compliance to the various regulatory authorities
  • Profitability analyses at product/customer level
  • Responsibility for the general ledger accounting of the European locations
  • Management of financial accounting including professional leadership and development of the staff team
  • Continuous commitment to improving processes and structures as well as professionally ensuring data collection and processing
  • Contact person for external tax consultants and auditors
  • Preparation of target/actual comparisons
  • Carrying out special projects and ad-hoc analyses

Your qualifications:

  • Successfully completed degree, e.g. in economics, ideally with a focus on accounting or controlling. Three to five years of professional experience in a comparable position in an internationally active company
  • Knowledge of IFRS standards
  • Confident use of MS Office programmes, very good knowledge of MS Excel
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, fluency in French and other languages would be an advantage.
