Finance Manager Consumer DACH (all genders welcome)

Reporting directly to the Finance Director Europe Central, this position is a finance leadership position in the country setting direction & implementing a strong financial strategy for a long-term profitable growth of the local Consumer Business Unit. Typically, this position manages the entire Consumer Business Unit DACH portfolio of accounts/business from finance perspective and help drive strategic decisions related to the most complex risk assessment decisions. Financial planning and analysis (FP&A) is a set of four activities that supports an organization’s financial health: planning and budgeting, integrated financial planning, management and performance reporting, and forecasting and modeling.

Your Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Provide direction and guidance to local business leaders of the Consumer Business Units in order to support the deployment of the pre-defined strategy and to achieve the annual objectives.
  • Lead & coordinate the preparation of 18 months rolling forecasts, along with 5-year business plan in close coordination with all local functions and EMEA stakeholders.
  • Conduct Ad-hoc profitability analysis and other studies/financial modelling as per business needs.
  • Lead investments analysis and create cost awareness on Management level.
  • Identify cost savings or revenue enhancement opportunities to meet country targets.
  • Ensure compliance with financial processes as well as adherence to established corporate policies, internal controls and statutory requirements.
  • Liase with local controller and auditors to ensure resolution of any audit finding or material SOX weaknesses in due time in area of responsibility.
  • Manage a team of 5 Finance Business Partners with a focus on their technical competences development and ability to anticipate and interpret business requirements.
  • Support the development of local talents within the local Consumer FP&A organization, including recruiting, career planning, and the utilization of a strong performance management process that aligns individual objectives with business metrics.
Your Profile
  • At least 6-8 years background in various Finance roles with increasing responsibilities; business experience working for a manufacturing company is a plus.
  • Experienced in Finance business partnering and a demonstrated understanding of sales and marketing operations.
  • Ability to lead teams through processes and projects improvements and also experienced in building a highly performing Finance team.
  • Very strong analytical and problem solving skills required:
    • Demonstrate a high level of understanding of all key aspects of Business Operations. Strong business acumen.
    • Able to analyze and grasp a situation quickly from different perspectives and create well-reasoned solutions.
    • Demonstrate a high level of understanding of how key decisions impact the business and forecasted operating results/cash flows.
  • Highly effective communications skills:
    • Ability to drive process change and continuous improvement from within and outside of finance functions.
    • Able to interface seamlessly with the PBU leadership and to properly communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Fluent in German and English is a must.
