Role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant experienced in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) to join our team. As a Finance Associate, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial transactions of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in both AR and AP. processes. Your expertise in financial record-keeping, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively will contribute to the overall financial success of our organization.

Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable (AR):

• Prepare and issue customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Monitor and record incoming payments, following up on any discrepancies or outstanding balances.
• Conduct periodic account reconciliations to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
• Assist in resolving billing inquiries and disputes in a professional and timely manner.

Accounts Payable (AP):

• Process and review vendor invoices, verifying accuracy, proper authorization, and adherence to company policies.
• Ensure timely payment of invoices, support in managing cash flow.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding balances.
• Assist in the preparation of periodic financial reports, including AP aging and cash flow analysis.

General Accounting:

• Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
• Prepare journal entries, adjusting entries, and other necessary accounting transactions.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
• Support internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and explanations.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Essential

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, related field, or similar education/experience.
• Proven work experience as an Accountant, preferably with specialization in AR and AP.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and accounting software.
• Proficiency in using financial management systems, such as ERP or accounting software.
• Solid understanding of AR and AP processes, including billing, collections, payment processing, and vendor management.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on maintaining data integrity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Effective communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and customers.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Desirables

• Professional certifications (e.g., CPA) and knowledge of tax regulations are advantageous but not mandatory
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
