Job DescriptionAt Danfoss Silicon Power we are currently looking for an Equipment Engineer (m/f/d) located in our office in Flensburg or Ismaning (Munich area), Germany. You will be part of our Global Production Technology team serving our production sites in Flensburg and Utica, USA, and ensuring state-of-the-art production equipment. This position can be filled in full- or part-time. If you would like to be based in the Ismaning office, we would require willingness to spent the onboarding phase in Flensburg and frequent travel to Flensburg as part of the position.
Job Responsibilities
In this role you will develop equipment and automation concepts fitting the needs of product, process and production and create equipment specifications. You will implement and develop customized solutions in collaboration with our equipment suppliers. Therefore, you will manage and control the procurement process to meet timeline, budget, and quality. You further perform supplier- and finance acceptance according to corporate and legal requirements. Finally, you qualify, verify, document and release equipment to our operations teams.
Throughout your work you will continuously improve standards and processes to ensure the implementation of state-of-the-art and new equipment and production technologies.
Background & Skills
For this position you hold a university degree in mechanical, mechatronics or industrial engineering or an equivalent educational background with experience in process or equipment engineering in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry. Additionally, we are looking for:
- Familiar with machinery directives (e.g. 2006/42/EG) and international security requirements (e.g. DIN EN ISO 13857 or OSHA/NRTL)
- Ability to provide excellent quality results in a timely manner
- Highly motivated, self-driven and well-organized with hands-on mentality
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with flexible mind-set
- Driven by innovation and motivated to a drive improvements and change
- Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent English and German language skills
- Willingness to travel approx. 10-30%
