We are looking for an Engineering Manager (all genders) to join our Authentication Experience team and reinvent on-demand delivery with us.
The team’s mission is to provide secure and seamless Authentication & Account Creation experience.The team takes care of the account creation flows, 3rd party integrations ( FB, Google, Apple, etc. ) , and customer authentication.
You will be working with an international, flexible and experienced team, shaping the authentication experience for millions of customers who order daily through our platform. All of this with cutting edge technologies, and the most exciting tech stack with the best practices in the market.

Your mission:
Defining the strategic direction of your team and contributing to the technical strategy for the entire Foodpanda, Foodora and Yemeksepeti consumer products.
Guiding and coaching an exceptional team of engineers, mentoring them in technical and non-technical aspects, and leading them to build stable, scalable, and reliable features and services.
Establishing and growing best Engineering Practices with your team (e.g. TDD, CI/CD, Agile Methodologies, etc.) in order to improve the engagement, the speed of delivery and the quality of the features and services you own.
In close collaboration with the team’s product manager, you will both lead projects, manage stakeholder expectations and dependencies, do continuous prioritization, alignment, and cost management.
Play an active role in evolving our overall architecture, especially for systems and products owned by your team.
Contribute to scaling different processes of the organization, such as engineering hiring and onboarding.
Your heroic skills:
You know how to set an inspiring vision that drives the team towards the bigger picture.
You know how to coach and/or mentor your team, you have the strategic vision to understand growth needs and how to scale a team, and you have a track record of hiring and developing the best talent.
You have a good understanding of the product and business KPIs, and how to translate strategy into action using the OKR framework. You have a solid record of managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
You utilize various frameworks, practices, and approaches for solving complex problems on a technical and organizational level.
You have hands-on programming experience (using Golang, Java, JavaScript, PHP, Swift, or Kotlin) as well as a solid knowledge of designing and creating cloud-based, distributed, and scalable system architectures.
You have experience in managing cross-functional teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to have:
Previous experience in Authentication and Identity Domain.
Working experience in security and compliance.
Previous experience in participation in open source projects.
