Siemens Digital Logistics is a specialist in digitalization of logistical processes. As part of the Siemens Group, the company with its portfolio of holistic software and consulting solutions is one of the leading IT service providers in global supply chain management. This includes the logistics platform AX4 as well as the Supply Chain Suite for data-supported analysis, simulation and optimization of logistical processes. In 2018, Siemens Digital Logistics was created due to the merger of the three renowned companies AXIT, LOCOM Consulting, and LOCOM Software. Siemens Digital Logistics employs a total of 300 experts at its locations in Frankenthal, Karlsruhe, and Wroclaw (Poland).

Aufgaben

As Head of Strategy and Product Portfolio Management, you will be shaping the future of Siemens Digital Logistics by defining & driving its global strategy, forming its portfolio, and adopting product landscape in a joint effort.

You are the entrepreneurial owner of your product range. Working in a cross-functional world-class development environment, you are responsible to identify and deliver a competitive range of products and services that leverage leading software technologies that will shape the future of digitalization and help to meet our business goals – create loyal customers, generate growth, and maximize return on investment.

You and your team will be responsible for further driving the product portfolio of SDL to enable a globally scaling software business. This will include adopting / developing partnerships within & beyond the company, identifying & integrating the right set of cutting-edge technologies and calibrating the portfolio.

Your Area of Responsibility
  • Ownership of the global strategy, portfolio definition and products (PLM)
  • Responsible to identify and deliver a competitive range of products
  • Setup & drive new business models to strengthen company’s digitalization strategy
  • Drive the vision, strategy and roadmap in close collaboration with the customers’ requirements and cross-domain business priorities
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our customers’ needs and pain points and transform the findings into new products and enhancements of existing products
  • Develop business plans and product introduction plans on a global/regional basis.
  • By using agile methods, you continuously build product improvements, while aiming for a fast-paced development
  • Drive cross-functional activities related to training, documentation, tools, sales, marketing, and logistics for the product range.
Profil
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills on all levels, including the ability to articulate complex technology concepts simply and concisely
  • An open, innovative & result driven attitude
  • Critical thinking combined with the willingness to get into right level of details or abstraction
  • Experience is the key
    • PLM leadership experience in the areas of software development.
    • Know-how of industrial IoT technologies, low-code app development and SaaS business rounding the profile
    • 10+ years of experience having a footprint in all areas of supply chain management (plan, make, source, deliver, return)
    • 10+ years of leadership experience, ideally including organizational growth
    • Project Management experience is an asset for the ideal candidate
  • University level or a higher degree, ideally in Management Information Systems, Informatics or similar degrees
  • Proficiency level in English and German with proven track record in negotiating contracts
