Join our team and promote progress together with us!The Commercialdivision is looking for an experienced Commercial Development Director at the Hamburgsite to add value to our growth activities by identifying new commercial opportunities and managing marketing efforts. We are looking for a candidate, who will keep abreast of trends and market conditions to provide strategic advice to upper management.
The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial mindset and great leadership skills. This should be combined with being a creative strategist with excellent organizational abilities. The goal is to promote and expand the company’s commercial activity that will generate revenues and lead to sustainable growth.
Director Commercial Development (m/f/d)
Your Tasks
- You develop and implement commercial strategies according to Aurubis’ goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth.
- You conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.).
- By understand the requirements of existing customers you ensure their needs are being met.
- You act to acquire new customers and manage (existing and new) customer relationships.
- You collaborate with and coordinate diverse teams (Raw Material Procurement, Sales, Customer Service etc.).
- You build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders.
- You monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
- You explore, define and follow through on new business opportunities across all geographies.
- You prepare and present project material for key decision gates.
- You support cross-functional cooperation and information exchange within the company.
- You have successfully completed your university degree in economics or a comparable field.
- You have more than 10 years of professional experience in the field of Sales or Procurement in a global environment as well as broad Commercial business understanding of company activities from relevant industry.
- You possess strong proven skills in leading cross functional teams in international projects.
- You have fluent language skills in English and German.
- With your entrepreneurial mindset you are eager to drive projects forward and to achieve tangible results.
- As an excellent communicator at multiple levels you can easily connect to people and inspire them.
- You are characterized by drive to improve and you are open-minded for change.
- The willingness to travel internationally rounds off your profile.
