About The Role

The Data Products team is a unit of our central data team and focuses on supporting the development of data-driven products in collaboration with a variety of other product teams. Projects range from targeting onboarding incentives to attract valuable customers to transaction monitoring systems that flag suspicious payments and news recommendation services informing our customers about things they care about.

As a Data Scientist in this team, you will build and maintain data products in small, changing squads of two or three people. You will own these products end-to-end, from scoping them together with the product managers of the requesting teams, to integrating it into the product with the engineering teams, and monitoring their results on an ongoing basis as part of maintenance.

YOUR DAY TO DAY INVOLVES

• Scope and deliver data products to improve Trade Republic’s offering together with cross-functional stakeholders from teams all over the company
• Create MVP data solutions that solve these challenges
• Build production-grade models from these MVP solutions and collaborate with engineering teams to bring them into a production environment
• Make sure we always A/B test new features and design and execute these tests properly
• Perform analyses on outcomes of your created solutions

• At least 3 years of end-to-end data science and software engineering experience, preferably in a dynamic environment with a modern tech stack
• Orientation on personal and professional growth, you never settle with what you have
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both with engineers and business stakeholders
• Team player who thrives on helping and enabling others in a small, fast-paced team
• Very good business acumen in the areas of finance and product
• Experience with applying a wide variety of machine learning techniques to business problems, particularly with tabular and natural language data
• Strong command of SQL, Python together with its scientific stack (numpy, pandas, matplotlib, scikit-learn)
• Good understanding of Software Engineering practices (e.g. test-driven development, OOP, CI/CD, etc.) and experience with productionizing ML products
