For Hamburg Headquarters we are recruiting a

Customs Expert (m/f/d)

Your new job includes

As part of our Tax & Customs department, you will ensure compliance with customs and excise processes. In particular you will

monitor the implementation of the conditions in the permits and authorizations of the German customs administration and apply for new permits and securities
monitor compliance with the legal requirements of customs and foreign trade law, as well as the Washington Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora
accompany the company audits of the German customs administration
overview current changes in the German customs system and their assessment for GH
accompany external audits (packaging ordinance and excise tax audit)
be responsible for the timely preparation and submission of the monthly customs and excise declarations for Germany, as well as the monthly excise declarations including packaging duties of some European subsidiaries
participate in projects and support the assurance of SAP system functionality (ERP, EWM, GTS) in the specialist area (including participation in release tests)

What you should bring along

Successfully completed commercial training or training in finance, ideally with experience in wholesale, foreign trade or retail.
Sound knowledge of customs processes and handling (EMCS, AES, NCTS, electronic customs tariff, tax and bonded warehouse)
Confident handling of MS Office, as well as experience with SAP (ERP and GTS)
Good German and English skills, both written and spoken
Strong communication skills, service orientation as well as enjoyment of working in a team
