ERM is seeking experts with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) experience to join our Operational Performanceteam as a Consultant in Frankfurt, Germany.

Operational Performance team

ERM has strong and growing relationships with many of the major, leading-name companies across industry sectors; such as technology, oil & gas, mining & metals, energy transition, manufacturing & pharmaceutical, and chemical. All face critical sustainability challenges and our clients in these and many other areas rely on our ability to assist them to operate more sustainably, which has a positive impact on our environment. And therefore, compliance with environmental, health and safety (EHS) and social issues is an ongoing commitment that needs to be embedded into the strategic management of business risk, visible leadership commitment and behaviors, as well as in day-to-day management systems of the operation. This person will join the Operational Performance team to help our client tackle these complex issues. If you are passionate about driving business through enhanced EHS / safety practices, this role is right for you.

The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge covering Health & Safety and/or Environmental topics (experience in auditing social/ labour performance is also welcomed) is required as well as a comprehensive knowledge of the Germany EHS regulations and their practical application. We are also looking for individuals who can display strong team-working and interpersonal skills with the confidence to interact with all different levels within a client organisation, together with the proven ability to write clear, well-articulated reports and deliver impactful presentations. You will be FaSi qualified and is fluent in German (native level) and English.

Role Responsibilities

The Consultant will leverage his/her subject matter expertise to deliver projects for clients whilst also continue to develop deep working knowledge across sectors. As you develop in our role, you will also acquire consulting skills through interaction with clients and become an expert in the above areas.

Marin Responsibilities Are (not Limited To)
  • Adhering to all ERM and client requirements, specifically those related to H&S and governance
  • Perform compliance and system audits to assess project compliance with applicable health and safety or environmental regulatory requirements, corporate standards, or management systems.
  • Identify follow-up corrective actions to close audit findings.
  • Provide technical assistance on HSE compliance and HSE management system projects
  • Develop HSE compliance procedures, plans, permits, and reports.
  • Design and implement HSE management systems and programmes for clients.
  • Manage multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
  • Support ERM Partners and other Project Managers to effectively manage and deliver projects.
  • Effectively steward and build client relationships leading to repeat business.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with other ERM employees
From time to time, travel to client locations and other ERM offices may be required after COVID.
