Your main activities in this position

As a Passive Safety CAE Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating and optimizing the Crashworthiness and strength performance of the MOOVE vehicles. You will be a motivated and dynamic problem solver using existing analytical and software tools as well as developing new methodologies to enable Virtual Validation. Strong technical skills with good interpersonal skills are a must to address the needs of a diverse and growing cross-functional team.

  • Plan, create and maintain the high fidelity and quality finite element (FE) models.
  • Perform CAE simulations to evaluate and optimize component level, system level and complete vehicle structural (stiffness, strength, crashworthiness) performance.
  • Document and present CAE results to development teams.
  • Develop and optimize structures & components to meet requirements.
  • Develop CAE modeling strategies on simulation methods and interpretation of CAE results.
  • Perform detailed post-test analysis and validate FEA models against test results.
  • Steer CAE service providers ensuring high quality of CAE models.
  • Shorten the CAE model building and report preparation time through automation and scripting.
  • Provide support to all other areas of the development where required.
Required Qualifications
  • Master of Science in Mechanical engineering, Computational Mechanics or equivalent.
  • Very good understanding and implementation of Finite Element Analysis.
  • Hands-on Experience and expertise in CAE tools as Beta CAE (ANSA, META), Hyperworks, LS-DYNA, Nastran. Advantage if proficiency in LS-OPT, MSc ADAMS.
  • Knowledge of programming language as PYTHON, MATLAB
  • Well-rounded and professional experience with occupant injury mechanics according to the relevant homologations and rating protocols such as ECE, FMVSS, NCAP, IIHS, etc.
  • Ability to complete the tasks independently, wherever required and a good team player.
  • Excellent organization skills, self-starting and ability to be flexible regarding evolving priorities
