The Azure Solutions Lead is the strategic leader for the Azure business in their market, covering the Intelligent Cloud Solution areas: Apps & Infrastructure and Data & AI solutions.

The Azure Solutions Lead has end-to-end accountability for the Azure Solutions in the German market including strategy, planning, execution, advocacy governance and learning across all customer segments and is leading a Team of Solution Area Product Marketing Managers.

You are a business leader within the subsidiary and a trusted partner of Key-Leadership-Stakeholder across our different marketing, sales, partner and engineering organizations. You participate in Area level planning and governance processes, provide data and insights to support and drive effective business prioritization and decision-making to the Leadership team to achieve the Azure Solutions business goals. The Azure Solutions Lead is on point for delivering revenue, consumption scorecard & share targets for the Azure Solution Areas together with the high performing Azure Solution PMM Team.

You are responsible for building a local multi- year business plan to deliver on the Azure market opportunity, exceeding targets within the fiscal period and setting up the business for future years success, sustainably and optimally.

You own, build, and land a local go-to-market plan based on corporate Azure solutions priorities based on a strong understanding of the local market structure, competitive dynamics and macros technical and economic market drivers. As such you work closely across all subsidiary functions (sales, marketing, partner, customer success, skilling, finance, services, and audience engagement) to ensure that there is a shared and aligned Area wide Azure Solutions go-to-market plan.

You orchestrate the execution of the Azure Solutions go-to-market plan across the subsidiary to exceed commercial and scorecard targets. You are reasonable for engaging with all leadership stakeholders for the Azure business and to partner closely for mutual success - through both formal and informal business processes. You holds both local and corporate stakeholders to account in a collaborative positive and impactful fashion.

You are the ambassador for the Azure ever-growing solution portfolio in the market - internally, with partners and across the market ecosystem - positioning Azure services, driving awareness and generating excitement in the market - in 1:1, 1:few and 1: many forums, in person and digital, covering both Azure business and technology messages.

You understand emerging market opportunities and can propose both local and corporate responses, short term and long term. You share actionable insight learning and feedback to drive continuous local and corporate improvement.

Areas of Responsibility for the role

Build & Land Growth Plans

Own the multi-year Area growth plan for Azure working collaboratively across Area leadership

Lead the local GTM strategy landing the core Azure priorities and supporting programs and investments

Guide Marketing and ECIF investment to maximize impact

Drive Business Outcomes

Monitor and understand the Priority Performance; Orchestrate execution to deliver on business metrics and solve relevant problems within the team to deliver results in time.

Actively lead and engage with all stakeholders across sales, partner, marketing, and service.

Determine key insights and asks to accelerate adoption of services, qualify inhibitors (with recommendations) to escalate to corporate.

Best Practice identification and sharing across the Area and with corporate to exponentially sale successful performance. Be a trusted advisor for sales & partners to be successful and efficient in highly competitive or innovative deals.

Explore synergies with other areas of the business and land integrated GTM

Seek opportunities to collaborate across the Area teams, connecting activities to simplify and drive success

Be a champion for holistic growth. Advocate for investment and execution to drive the One Microsoft business

Qualifications

Key Experiences, Skills, and Knowledge:
  • Significant of Business and Sales Management, Technology leadership or product marketing experience, preferably in cloud services or technology
  • Solid people management experience with customer/partner facing technology marketing.
  • Broad Strategic Management Vision
  • Deep customer focus and understanding, experience in a customer-facing or partner channel development role.
  • Strong business acumen (Strong financial and analytical skills & experience) and excellent communicator
  • Technically adept
  • Evangelist and Azure subject matter expert
  • Experience in business development and landing end to end go to market plans incl. leading complex v-teams.
  • Proven ability to drive results and influence a diverse group of stakeholders.
Education
  • Requires a bachelor degree in Business, Marketing or Computer Science. Masters preferred.
Certifications in sales, sales management, complex sales training, sales methodologies, and consultative selling an advantage
