CastleGate Forwarding (CGF) is the freight forwarding division of Wayfair, supporting suppliers in importing containers to their warehouses. We want to become the preferred digital freight forwarder of our suppliers and we are looking for a motivated Sales Associate to join our inside sales team and act as a catalyst for new business opportunities. This is your opportunity to join our fast-paced and talented team on our mission to expand our European and UK market by adding the most promising and high-quality leads to meet our ambitious growth target. The purpose of this role is to act as a catalyst for CGF new business opportunities and generate high quality leads to meet CGFs growth ambitions

Location: Berlin

What You’ll Do

  • Act as a catalyst for CGF new business opportunities with a hunting mindset
  • Cold calling and hunting for new business to continuously build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
  • Generating qualified leads to meet assigned sales targets
  • Identify opportunities within suppliers needs to build catered value propositions
  • Ask pertinent questions to understand the customer’s requirements
  • Present supply chain value propositions to Wayfair suppliers and identifying supplier needs
  • Collaborate with Sales Executives to ensure qualified leads convert into contracted customers
  • Upsell ancillary services
  • Ensure compliance with company’s and customer’s standard operating procedure
  • Keep records of calls and relevant information in CRM updated

What you’ll need:

  • Professional experience in freight forwarding sales or a related field
  • Proven experience as telemarketer or similar sales/customer service role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. German is preferable. Additional European language is a plus.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to have an impact on the business, especially as it relates to sales strategy and supplier experience
  • Ability to work effectively with people in a cross-functional & fast paced environment
  • Skilled in negotiation and dealing with complaints
  • Comfortable in a technology-driven, numbers-oriented business environment
  • Persistent and results-oriented
  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or business administration
