Overview
Albert Roger is a pan-European Health & Beauty Company, bringing a portfolio of innovative and exciting beauty brands to both consumers and retailers across Europe. The company is expanding its business and portfolio of beauty brands in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH region) and wants to strengthen the commercial team by recruiting a national account manager, to develop and grow its network of retailers in the region, strengthen local retailer relationships and manage the business on a day to day basis
The NAM will be the regional expert and champion DACH with the internal teams. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an ambitious and growing business, to manage a key growth area and work with exciting and well-known brands
Key responsibilities include:
-identify key retailers and present successfully our portfolio of brands to buyers
- achieve agreed sales, margin and strategic brand objectives
- maximise the sales opportunity for all Albert Roger brands in the region, from project concept, to sell-in and sell out
- support the development of all local brand and retailer sales targets, communicate to and review with retailers, track and review on a regular basis to ensure agreed targets are achieved and identify both risks and opportunities on a regular basis and build contingency plans where necessary
- identify new sales opportunities through to full implementation, including brand and retailer onboarding and completion of internal and retailer processes, new line forms and online set up
- manage the existing retailers on a day to day basis and build longterm effective relationships with retailer buying, marketing and ops teams and ensure that the AR brand portfolio is always top of mind
- lead local retailer negotiations to reach agreement on: agree JBP’s; terms and conditions; new brand and product launches; space and visibility at point of sale and online; trade marketing and comms plans
- in partnership with the internal Trade Marketing and Comms teams: develop a tailormade local marketing and comms plan to drive sales and ensure that this complements the retailers’ own plans
- in partnership with the Purchasing and Ops team: prepare internal SKU forecasts, review on a regular basis and identify risks and opportunities; follow up to ensure that orders are shipped and delivered on time
- review competitive brand activity, including new launches and promo activity, in the market and share learnings and recommendations with the internal teams
- ensure that the brands are positioned correctly in the market to help to maximise sales, margin and visibility
Skills and experience
Key skill set and experience:
- experience of working in the beauty and FMCG sectors in the DACH region with a fast-paced sales environment
- experience of working with and managing national retailers including drugstore chains , grocery and pureplay online
- strong communication and presentation skills
- numerate, analytical and comfortable working with numbers and analysing data
- highly organized, able to work and manage priorities pro-actively, self starter
- language skills: fluent German; high level of spoken and written English, other European language an advantage
Reporting structure
Direct: reporting to the Vice President Business Development
Indirect: internal Comms, Trade Marketing, Purchasing and Ops teamsLocationThe role will be based remotely in the Netherlands or Germany
Regular travel across the region and to the Albert Roger head office near London in the UK
