Your Tasks

In the department “Prototyping Deo” new technologies and application forms are being developed for the Beiersdorf Deo brands. During the internship, you have the opportunity to participate in development projects within a dedicated team located at our headquarters in Hamburg, Germany.

You Will Gain Valuable Insights Into The Work Of An International Cosmetics Company And Be Able To Gather Detailed Knowledge On The Formulation Of Cosmetic Products. You Will Be Able To Acquire Experience In The Following Areas

  • Acquisition of deeper knowledge on the mode of action and development of deodorant/antiperspirant formulations.
  • Production and optimization of different formulation bases in laboratory scale.
  • Learn and practice methods for the evaluation of cosmetic products with regard to performance, sensory properties and stability.
  • Planning and executing of in vivo studies.
  • Independent work on tasks within a project.

Furthermore, this internship offers you the opportunity to gain extensive insight into cosmetic product development through interdisciplinary work with related departments.

Your Profile

  • Studying natural sciences at university level (eg. Chemistry, Food Chemistry, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology).
  • Full matriculation during the entire internship or within a year after the bachelor’s degree in preparation for a master’s degree.
  • Existing practical experience, e.g. in Chemical Analysis.
  • Pleasure in teamwork, an open-minded & outgoing character
  • Analytical and structured working approach with a solution-oriented way of problem-solving
  • Fluent German and/or English (written and spoken)
  • Very good MS Office application knowledge

Curious about your salary?

Your work at Beiersdorf will be fairly remunerated, both with a voluntary internship and with a compulsory internship you earn 2.000 € per month. For a working student activity, our salary is 18,19 € per hour.
