Head of M&A, Successful PE-backed MedTech contract manufacturer, Munich Area, Germany
About our client

Our client is a well-funded MedTech contract manufacturer backed by an established international Private Equity firm. They specialize in high-quality medical devices, having established themselves as the first-choice partner for complex and technically challenging orthopaedic implants and screws particularly for the extremities, a rapidly growing market segment.

Our client is now looking to hire a Head of M&A to support their ambitious growth journey. In this position you will drive the complete deal cycle, overseeing sourcing, execution, due diligence, and negotiation processes as well as post-merger integration efforts. Additionally, the role will focus on strategic principles and business development.

  • Planning, organization, and execution of M&A transactions
  • Cross-functional coordination of all project participants including target companies, PE Deal Team members, internal departments as well as external consultants and advisors in relation to all M&A and strategic projects
  • Preparation of investment cases including company valuations and presentation of decision papers
  • Working closely with investors and the management team
Who we are looking for


  • Successfully completed university studies in Economics, Finance or Business Administration
  • Previous M&A experience from an M&A Boutique, Corporate M&A, Private Equity or a Big 4 firm (ideally within Transaction Services)
  • Extensive practical experience in the execution of M&A transactions (due diligence, valuation, project management)
  • Profound knowledge in business valuation, modelling of business cases and financial models as well as accounting/balancing
  • Previous experience within the Healthcare sector is a plus
  • Strong analytical thinking skills as well as strong communication and organizational skills
  • Committed team player with a high degree of ownership and the ability to drive workstreams independently
  • Written and spoken fluency in English is a must, conversational level in German is a plus
