The Digital Transformation and Analytics team will be engaged with end-to-end digital innovation partnering (Demand Management to IT Operations), expedite agile execution of prototyping for high-investment technology initiatives such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet-of-Things, Robotic Process Automation, Blockchain and Cloud. The team will act as innovation partner to specific business functions such as Center of Excellence Finance and Research & Technology with respect to digitizing business execution and providing support to gain further insights in terms of decision intelligence, data science and analytics.

In order to strengthen global core IT expertise in the area of Digital Transformation and Analytics we are looking a Head of Data Engineering (m/f/d).

• Establish the data engineering practice and culture
• Develop team to program data products, models, pipelines, ETL
• Organizational leadership of data engineering
• Leadership & management of other data engineers towards development and delivery
• Ensure data product testing, quality, operability, and interoperability
• Lead improvements, incidents resolution & technical troubleshooting
• Establish and lead data engineering culture & community
• Setup processes to digitize knowledge and establish infrastructure and data engineering as code
• Establish data engineering ops

• Positive servant leader excited to establish data engineering who is prepared to be hands on when necessary
• Technical Degree such as (business) computer scientist or (business) engineer or comparable education
• Experience managing or leading other data engineers
• Proven experience leading data engineering culture
• Experience programming the delivery of complex API, data products and platforms, ETL
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, SAP BTP and the data and api features they offer
• Fluency in written and spoken English
