We are looking for an engaged Global MNC Manager Consumers (f/m/d) for our Sales Team at the Global Head Office DHL Freight in Bonn. As Global MNC Manager (f/m/d) for the consumer sector, you will develop the consumer sectors customer portfolio according to annual budget planning, build a network of local country MNC responsibles for the consumer sector and manage important accounts in collaboration with the respective countries – all with the target to grow the consumer portfolio and to develop accounts in a way that they grow profitably.
In this role, you will:
- Realize the sales goals/budget for the consumer portfolio
- Plan and provide MNC customer support and consulting
- Coordinate acquisition and requirements-oriented / customer-specific preparation of proposals
- Coordinate internal and external resources (e.g., Marketing, Product Development, Customer Support, cross BU initiatives) to optimally meet the customers’ needs
- Participate in pricing and/or discounting for portfolio accounts and actively support contractual negotiations with the assigned key accounts with the aim of achieving the best possible conditions for DPDHL
- Contribute independently to sales planning and perform sales activities for the key accounts (e.g., revenue planning, customer communication, customer visits, (marketing) events, etc.)
- Contribute independently to identifying market/growth potential and observing the competitors, and know their service spectrum, price structure, and price policy
- Develop new prospects (acquisition) in order to add them to the portfolio
- Draft forecasts and customer development plans independently
- Process complex projects independently
- Identify problems that may not be clear in own area of authority and modify work methods accordingly
- Convince external customers who are skeptical or unwilling to accept proposals or where decision making process and standards are defined and mandatory
- May provide functional guidance, advice or training to less experienced account management positions
- Stick to the global sales team´s procedures, take part in regular team meetings and make use of the global sales team´s power
Our perfect match:
- You have finished your studies and gained at least 3 years’ experience in business (preferable road freight) as well as in key account management in an international context necessary, ideally in the sector of Consumers
- Proven track record of successful key account management (development of own portfolio)
- Ability to proactively identify value opportunities, take initiative and act collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience within multi-cultural and international organizations required
- Strong presentation and communication abilities
- Strong capability to sell concepts, ideas and improvement opportunities to internal and external stakeholders
- Self-directed and assertive with the ability to prioritize workloads and manage concurrent projects and timelines
- Ability to manage in matrix structure
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Office (Excel and Powerpoint) and Customer Relationship Management systems
- Fluent in English, further European language(s) an advantage
