Your missionDevelop the first ever collision avoidance and frequency coordination framework with international space debris scientists. Your mission will be to make sure that all the services that OKAPI:Orbits provide can be accessed reliably via an easy-to-use API and a beautiful and well-performing web frontend (you can peak at the system under platform.okapiorbits.com). Your products will be used by both commercial satellite operators running constellations with hundreds of satellites, as well as national and international space agencies.
Your Tasks And Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of the frontend of OKAPI:Orbits SSA platform, depending on your experience and skills to the web-frontend, the API, or both
- Contribute to software development projects for national and international space agencies
- Contribute to software architecture discussions
- Support scientists to develop space related solutions
Must-haves:
- You have a degree (B.Sc. or higher) in computer science or a related subject, OR you are trained IT specialist
- With solid knowledge and relevant work experience in the technology stack stated below,
- You have knowledge in the MERN stack,
- Your problem-solving skills allow you to identify and solve problems that arise during the development process,
- You are located in the European Economic Area and have a valid working permit,
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
- Experience with next.js is a plus,
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus,
- Experience with other programming languages (e.g. Python, JAVA) and Cesium is a plus,
- Experience with Continuous Integration,
- Experience with Frontend Testing,
- Experience in an aerospace-related domain is a plus.
- With a flat hierarchy and small working groups, you define your own way of work including flexible work hours.
- We offer for this position a salary range of 48k to 55k per year, depending on experience and qualifications, as well as V.S.O.P. (virtual share option plan) possibility.
