The Global Data & AI department is on a mission to turn DB Schenker into a data-driven company. An international team of Data Experts work in close cooperation with internal Business Units and IT to define DB Schenker’s data strategy, develop data-centric business models, consult business owners regarding data analytics / Artificial Intelligence potential and conduct related analytics projects, accumulate expertise on Big Data related tools and techniques, and manage the internal and external (partner) network.


Your tasks:

  • Primarily support in the context of our Cloud-native Big Data Platform with our Agile Project Management efforts and technical research in the field of Data & AI Services
  • Opportunity to learn more about data engineering, Power BI, agile project management and more, depending on the individual interests
  • Support with Service Management of the Data Analytics Cloud Platform e.g. Agile Project Management, Cost Reporting, Monitoring
  • Research on novel cloud technologies in the context of Data Analytics
  • Build prototypes to test and evaluate tools and technical processes
Your profile:
  • Undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in an accredited college or university – preferably major in business informatics, computer science, engineering or similar discipline
  • Full professional English required, knowledge of German is a plus
  • Profound knowledge in Jira, Confluence MS Excel, PowerPoint, and standard Office components is a plus
  • Ability to produce high quality deliverables
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, dynamic, self-steering and team player
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills, international mind-set
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, innovation attitude
