Homelike’s finance department is responsible for the company’s controlling, treasury, central accounting and taxation in Germany and abroad. As VP Finance, you will work closely with the C-level, drive innovations and establish a state-of-the art financial management. This role requires exceptional strategic thinking and commercial acumen with the desire and ability to challenge the status quo and help us improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and performance of the Finance function. You will play a key role in securing the financial health and growth of Homelike.

Tasks

How you are part of our success story:
  • Coordinate company-wide financial P&L and manage key functions such as financial planning, controlling, forecasting and liquidity management
  • Optimize common performance metrics in financial operations (DSO, DPO, cash conversion, etc.)
  • Analysis and planning of commercial metrics such as customer acquisition costs, unit economics, cost per transaction, etc.
  • Responsible for company-wide tax & accounting, both in HQ as well as our subsidiaries in other countries
  • Own monthly reporting process and improve our controlling processes
  • Optimize cost structures and liquidity-management
  • Improve core processes such as debt collection, treasury & cash management, accounts receivable management, payment-fulfillment, etc.
  • Grow the finance department further and hire great employees for required finance functions
Requirements

What you need to convince us:
  • Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in Investment Banking / MM Consulting / Audit; Alternative: 5-6 years of professional experience in Financial Management in a growth startup or VC environment
  • Comprehensive expertise in corporate planning & controlling, accounting standards (HGB, IFRS) and common ERP systems (e.g. DATEV)
  • Ability to drive complex & cross-divisional projects independently and successfully
  • Analytical with a structured problem-solving approach – metrics-driven, and able to embed a culture of data- and fact-based decision-making
  • Highly developed and demonstrable leadership skills, including managing and developing people and teams
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: know how to communicate passionately, effectively, and persuasively and have experience building strong working relationships at all levels of management
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on mentality
  • Fluent in German and English (our company language)
