About The Job

As validation engineer you are part of the new product development team and responsible for the silicon validation in a lab environment. In close teamwork with circuit design, application, test and system engineering you will define the validation strategy of our next generation products to guarantee best in class performance. This also includes ensuring device robustness under extreme conditions. You will develop, execute and analyze bench validation measurements using LabVIEW and TestStand. Result reviews in cross functional teams are part of your job. You will use bench top equipment as well as automated bench systems including PXI to perform your measurements. Continuous improvement activities such as designing, developing and implementing complex bench data collection methods are expected. Modern, state of the art tools will help you to do that.

This opening is part of TI’s rotation program for New College Graduates. Gain an inside track through two, one-year + 6-month rotations. The first in validation engineering, then a second rotation to dive deeper into a complementary role.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in electrical engineering, engineering physics, electrical and computer engineering, computer engineering or related field
  • You recently graduated and / or have first experiences in a professional role
  • Basic experiences in analog measurement techniques
  • First experience with bench test equipment like: Power Supplies, Multimeters, Oscilloscopes
  • Fluent language skills in English and German (or commitment to learn)
  • First experience in LabVIEW, TestStand, Spotfire, Matlab and/or other programming skills
  • Basic knowledge of semiconductor physics and advanced analog circuits, preferably in the power management area
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of DCDC converter architectures
  • Basic knowledge about PCB design
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, interpret customer input and apply input to TI’s products and processes
  • Ability to take the initiative and ownership for implementing solutions that improve product quality
