In the context of Growth, ST has decided to open a new Distribution Center in Frankfort Rodgau to deliver our European customers.
This position is located in our ST offices in Munich with regular business travel to Rodgau
Duties & Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Manage the Transportation team of 2 people
  • Manage the Imports and Export activities
  • Manage the Operation Performance Indicators on Transportation and monitor the weekly/monthly Reporting
  • Manage the performance of the forwarders and ensure the compliance of the Scope of Work specifications with Operational execution.
  • Defining Technical specifications for logistics service providers contract renewals and yearly tenders
  • Participate in the selection and decisions taken to enroll logistics service providers in collaboration with the Procurement department.
  • Ensure and be proactive on Continuous improvement on Transportation processes
  • Building and documenting Local working instructions in line with local rules & conditions.
  • Ensure and be proactive on Prevention plans for Business Continuity Plan
  • Provide the right level of support and communication to the Divisions & Sales for Urgent requirement
  • be the backup of Logistic Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Manage and follow up on the team members` performance including coaching the team and implementing the necessary training and development plans for the team.

Profile

Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate shall:
Hold a degree in Logistics and Transportation Management or equivalent.
Possess a minimum of 2 years management experience and a minimum 5 years experience in Logistics and transportation.
Be able to adapt quickly.
Possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Be able to build and maintain excellent relationship with all stakeholders.
Have an excellent knowledge on Transport and Customs Import/Export (Airfreight/Roadfreight).
Have a good knowledge on the international trade.
Have excellent computer knowledge on MS Office tools, especially Excel and SAP.
