TUIfly is looking for a Technical Representive. As a Technical Representative you are representing TUI Airlines at any third party facility where outsourced maintenance activities are performed, supervising the contracted activities of the MRO’s, Line and Base maintenance and ensuring that the maintenance tasks are carried out in accordance with the Part 145 regulations and company standards and in line with the contractual arrangements.


In this role, you will report to the Outsourced Maintenance Manager and specifically focus on the supervision of the German line stations: Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Munic


ABOUT THE JOB

  • Liaising with the selected MRO in all aspects of contracted outsourced maintenance on behalf of any aircraft, and hence any airline, within the TUI Group Airlines
  • Within the framework of the functional responsibilities & authority, you ensure to be aware of the scope, conditions and service levels of the maintenance agreement with the MRO providers.
  • Collecting and manage KPI data effectively to monitor the performance of the maintenance provider
  • Sharing regularly updates and providing reports on the aircraft(s) status to the technical organization both internally and with the contracted parties as required for all stakeholders to perform their duties, escalating matters as required
  • Using real time aircraft monitoring applications to monitor the fleet operating from the assigned line maintenance stations
  • Monitoring the fleet status (deferred defects, recurrent defects, …) and ensure the assigned line maintenance stations manage and address the deferred defects in an efficient manner.
  • Ensuring all work is conducted in line with contractual terms and condition, and supplier SLAs
  • Providing contract support for the local provision of material and services not covered by the contract and outside the capability of the supplier
  • Coordinate, monitor and drive all activity between MRO and TUI Group to ensure all queries are resolved and outsourced maintenance is delivered on time, in budget and within contractually agreed terms
  • Ensure compliance to NAA regulations
  • Act as a key point of contact and expertise for all internal stakeholders regarding outsourced maintenance matters
  • You ensure appropriate structural communication with all relevant stakeholders regarding outsourced maintenance matters and you coordinate the necessary communication flows to ensure smooth operations from the assigned line stations.
  • Providing assistance on AOG situations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Building a collaborative and professional relationship with the aircraft service providers
  • You will visit the assigned line stations regularly (minimum weekly), occasionally during weekends and night shifts.

ABOUT YOU

  • You are part 66 licensed engineer (or an aeronautical degree or national equivalent) with at least 10 years’ working experience in an operational maintenance environment
  • You have a solid knowledge of the applicable EASA/UK Regulatory Requirements (Part 145, part M…)
  • You have a sound knowledge and understanding of maintenance programs & maintenance contracts.
  • Ability to develop effective collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and self-driven, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and enjoy working with different work environments, practices and cultures
  • Have proven ability to manage time and workloads for maximum efficiency, demonstrate a systematic and effective approach to keep overview on projects and set priorities.
  • Trustworthy and ethical, accepts and delivers on responsibilities and requires others to follow through on commitments
  • Ability to analyze and diagnose maintenance issues and translate these into fact-based solutions, contributing and communicating a deeply commercial insight
  • You are able to work independently, with sense of urgency, you can take decisions and work under operational pressure.
  • This role requires strong business English, both spoken and written, and will involve travel to the assigned line stations regularly and within Europe occasionally.
  • A second relevant European language (French, Dutch, Flemish, German, Swedish) would be an advantage but is not essential
