Would you like to make your contribution to meeting the challenges of climate change?

Then join us as a Technical Expert environmental data (all gender) full-time and with an unlimited contract. Become part of an agile and growing team of KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA in Einbeck, Germany and use digital environmental data to create a central basis for future plant breeding, seed production and digital agronomic consulting.

Your challenges:

• Development of structures and processes for the (digital) collection and storage of environmental data
• Ensuring data quality and data availability
• Selection of measuring instruments and establishment of maintenance processes
• Coordination of the worldwide use of measuring instruments
• Active search for (digital) innovations to increase the efficiency and quality of (real-time) data collection
• Consulting and participation in working groups with climate change-associated goals (drought stress, heat stress, water use efficiency)
  

Contribute your skills:

• University degree in agrometerology, environmental sciences, geo-/environmental informatics, environmental engineering or comparable qualification
• In-depth knowledge of meteorology, soil science as well as practical experience with (IoT) field measuring instruments
• Solid experience in project management
• Experience in data assimilation, database-based processing and data visualization
• Ideally also experience with GIS applications (ArcGIS/ QGIS)
• Open-minded, self-reliant, structured and customer-oriented way of working in an international, intercultural environment
• Very good communication skills in English (oral and written), knowledge of German is an advantage
