If you are looking for a challenging task in a development team at Airbus Defence and Space in Manching and if you are interested in systems & software design in the military aircraft environment, you are welcomed to our department.

We develop and maintain Ground Mission Systems for our Tornado, A400M and Eurofighter platforms at the Airbus-sites in Manching / Germany.

Our products enable development and evaluation of military aircraft mission data, especially in the context of electronic warfare, defensive aids and sensor fusion.

You will become part of an agile development team developing a state-of-the-art electronic warfare mission data generation system for the Tornado platform for our national customer.

What you will be doing - Tasks & Accountabilities

You will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Analysis of avionics system design/requirements and operational requirements
  • Definition and adaptation of design requirements to mission data generation, incl. workflow definition
  • Definition of the System design
  • System integration
  • Definition and execution of test procedures
  • Documentation and qualification
  • Issue troubleshooting and analysis
  • Preparation and Performance of end user trainings
  • Preparation and Participation to customer workshops
  • In Service Support to customer mission data generation and aircraft operation

About You - Required Skills

You will bring:

  • University degree in computer science, aeronautical engineering, physics, electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in system engineering (desirable in the aerospace sector)
  • Experience in defensive aids avionics is a plus
  • Experience in Electronic Warfare is valuable.
  • Strong team spirit, independent working method and high quality awareness
  • English fluent, German is a plus
