Student Explorer Program (STEP) at Microsoft
  • Foundation. Microsoft is a workplace unlike any other. As a student worker at Microsoft you will be part of the STEP community. STEP helps student workers hit the ground running, navigate a complex global organization and position themselves for future success.

To be considered for a student worker position, you need to be enrolled full-time as a student majoring in an applicable field with a minimum of one semester or term to complete.

Start: November 2022

Length: Minimum 6 months, 20h/week

Responsibilities

The Small, Medium & Corporate (SMC) division is responsible for sales to medium-sized and small customers. It supports the provision and implementation of a resilient, digital infrastructure and advises companies on digital transformation and the path to the cloud.

The Customer Program Manager identifies and translates customer business challenges into product requirements, synthesizes various customer feedback to extrapolate product development features ideas, and scaling solutions internally to improve product. The Customer Program Manager also conducts customer and industry research to enable alignment of resources and potential product issues.

As a Student Worker, You Will
  • Support SMB Sales leads on Rhythm of business
  • Run data analysis and special projects to increase program impact on business
  • Support SMB Lead in running and preparing team meetings and team activities, etc
Qualifications

  • Pursuing either a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in business, marketing, economics, computer science, engineering or related field with a minimum of one semester remaining
  • Previous experience within Marketing or Sales of internationally operating corporate organisations, technology/software industry or consulting would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge in project/technical program management and PowerBI would be an advantage
  • Strong communication skills in German and English
  • Valid work authorization required
